Day 5 Calorie Count
Today’s total = 3180
Pretty good day. The food choices weren’t the best, but far from the worst. I also had good discipline in portion control until dinner. The foods I ate for dinner were solid choices being far less calorie dense than the snack foods we had during the football game.
More thoughts on today’s foods later…
Calorie Count Day 3
Keeping with my commitment I’m posting my caloric intake for the day.
Total = 3280
Finished the case of coca-cola finally, so no more sugar soda begins now. Would of shaved 360 calories off of today’s total had I not drank them.
Today was a real good day for me. I had a bagel with a carefully measured amount of butter this morning, baked chicken and veggies for lunch and then resorted to my usual ways for dinner by having a gyro, pizza puff and fries for dinner. >.<
Dinner was about 1800 calories according to resources online, but I rounded it up to 2000 to try to make sure I’m not fudging the numbers in my favor.
Day 2 of Calorie Counting
So as per my commitment to accountability, I’m posting yesterdays calories consumed.
Total = 3980
Still had a few sugar sodas in the morning, but I cut myself off at noon and didn’t drink any with dinner which easily saved at least 360. Quitting soda isn’t too difficult for me because 1. I don’t really crave it(usually just mindlessly grab for it out of laziness) and 2. If I drink more than a few cans in a day I will get indigestion and heart-burn. My huge number from the day before was because of an even worse drink for me personally, sweet tea. Sweetened tea is like gods’ ambrosia to me and I will easily suck down a liter of it in a day for a whopping 560 calories. The high caffeine and sugar content of the drink dehydrates you very quickly, so your thirst only remains, which leads to me mindless reaching for sodas, exacerbating the problem further.
Luckily, this is a fairly simple fix, just don’t bring these sugary drinks in the house.
Death by Calories
So, as per a post I made yesterday, I’ve decided to give the good ole’ fashioned, slow-and-steady approach to weight loss a try and step 1 is counting the number of calories I currently am consuming a day for the next week.
I imagine most people would feel the same pressure I do when I know I’ll be counting up the calories at the end of the day to try and take it easy. Imagine the pressure when you also decide that you are going to post that number on your tumblr.
Maybe it’s me being honest with myself or maybe it’s just the fat-fuck in me, but I decided to eat as bad as I always do. :3
I’ve rounded the numbers up a bit as I went.
Total Calories Consumed Yesterday: 4776 <- yeowza.
Hopefully the thinspro chix following my blog didn’t just have an aneurysm reading that. x_X
Anyways, the first thing that immediately jumped out at me was all the calories I’m consuming from sugary drinks. I know this a no duh, need to quit thing, but I was still surprised by just how many of those calories were from drinks and that it is no wonder I had been gaining the way I have from where I was before winter.
